Khaolak Elephant Conservation is a small eco-friendly elephant centre nearby Khaolak, run by the 6th generation of a family who has cared for elephants for over 160 years, passing down knowledge and compassion for Asian elephants through generations.
Animal welfare is the core of everything we do. We believe that responsible and ethical elephant tourism can play a vital role in the survival of the Asian elephant, but only through the highest standards of care and compassion. We oppose any unnatural or abusive practices and are dedicated to continually improving elephant welfare and promoting education.
We proudly own and manage a network of ethical elephant parks in Southern Thailand, including Phang Nga Elephant Park, Khaosok Elephant Conservation Centre, Phuket Elephant Conservation and Khaolak Elephant Conservation each park shares our commitment to elephant welfare, education, and sustainable tourism.
Our Elephant Sanctuary promotes sustainable elephant tourism by offering a deeper understanding of domestic and wild elephants. We aim to set a model for responsible care, create educational opportunities for students, and inspire eco-friendly tourism practices.
We support local communities by providing employment and dedicating part of our profits to charity. Through non-intrusive, culturally respectful activities, we focus on elephant welfare and environmental sustainability, ensuring a brighter future for
elephants and local communities.
Each tour is limited to 4-8 people per elephant, ensuring a stress-free experience for both visitors and the elephants.
We allow guests to feed, walk alongside, and observe elephants in their natural environment—but never ride them.
A portion of every booking goes directly to elephant welfare, including the Southern Thailand Elephant Foundation’s free veterinary hospital.
For every visitor’s entry fee, 3% goes to support the Southern Thailand Elephant Foundation’s elephant hospital that provides free veterinary care for all elephants.
